Dr. Ellis is the department head for Communications and Agricultural Education, which offers bachelor’s degrees in Agricultural Education and Agricultural and Natural Resources Communications; a master’s degree in Agricultural Education and Communication; and is a founding department in the interdisciplinary Leadership Communication doctoral program. In addition, the department provides communications support for the College of Agriculture and K-State Research and Extension and operates University Printing. Jason continues to teach and advise students for undergraduate and graduate programs in agricultural communications and journalism, and he conducts and disseminates communications research through an appointment with the Kansas State University Agricultural Experiment Station. Jason was formerly an assistant professor of agricultural journalism at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a food safety extension specialist at Iowa State University.
